Beauparc Go Solar with Enerpower at IPRs recycling facility in Ballymount Facility

In News, Solar

Beauparc’s, Irish Packaging Recycling (IPR) Facility at Ballymount has gone solar with the installation of a roof top solar panel array.  Installed by Waterford company Enerpower, the array will ensure that Beauparc continues to drive forward with their sustainability strategy.

Environmental ethics are at the heart of everything that Beauparc do and they approached Enerpower to undertake an audit of their energy usage and to see how solar pv could help them further reduce their energy consumption and carbon footprint.   This project saw Enerpower fully engineer, procure and construct the bespoke solar panel solution.

Brendan Traynor, Managing Director of Energy for Beauparc commented, “We’re proud that the newly installed solar panels on Ireland’s largest household recycling facility in Ballymount, not only power our sustainable recycling systems but also charge Ireland’s first electric, zero emission refuse collection vehicle (eRCV).  Making the entire process of collecting and recycling waste completely carbon free”, We found Enerpower to be very professional and efficient. They promised no disruption to our day-to-day operations and delivered on this. The system has performed as expected and we were very satisfied with our Enerpower experience”

Managing Director of Enerpower, Owen Power said “It is fantastic to see the commitment from the team at Beauparc with the addition of solar energy.  This will have a huge impact for the company in terms of meeting their goals of a reduced carbon footprint as well providing an overall financial benefit.”

Aside generating renewable energy that powers the plant and eRCV’s, another major benefit of choosing solar panels for the business is reduced overheads on electricity costs.  IPR are now realising the benefits of choosing this affordable sustainable way to generate electricity for their business.

The team at Enerpower managed this process for Beauparc and provided a turnkey solution ensuring an assigned project management monitored and informed the client each step of the way.
