Enerpower are pleased to be shortlisted for Innovations in Operations at this year’s Operational Excellence Awards. Enerpower joined a number of highly innovative companies nominated in the prestigious ‘innovation in operations’ category.
The project put forward for the ‘innovation in operations’ application was Wicklow County Council solar carport. Enerpower completed the installation of a 300kWp solar carport system at the Wicklow County Council facility. Car park spaces were used to build an innovative carport system clad in Solar PV modules. The solar carport system will now create renewable energy connected to the adjacent Wicklow County Council facility.
The innovative idea of a solar carport is unique in many ways. It is Ireland’s first large-scale solar carport project and is a real-life example of how companies can use current open car parking spaces to integrate multiple renewable energy technologies. Implementing such technologies will help businesses to reduce their overall energy consumption, costs and carbon footprint whilst future-proofing their business for economic changes that may arise.
Enerpowers’ investment in innovative renewable energy technologies is giving companies across Ireland alternative options that will help reduce their carbon footprint.
The competition is tough, and we are up against some established brand names in the Irish industry such as Keltech, Kerrygold Park Ireland and MCR Group but we believe our innovative approach to renewable energy technology will shine through.
Enerpower are looking forward to the awards ceremony which will be held on Thursday the 30th of June in the Radisson Blu Hotel, Gloden Lane, County Dublin.
We would like to take this time to congratulate all shortlisted companies and wish them the very best of luck at the awards ceremony.
