The installation of a heat pump enables you to take full advantage of renewable energy sources as they reduce your carbon footprint and energy costs. As a renewable energy installer in Ireland, our focus is to help you make more environmentally conscious energy choices by providing you with recommended solutions.
Heat pumps are becoming increasingly popular among Ireland’s energy consumers as they reduce your energy bills. The Climate Action Plan sets ambitious targets to reduce co2 emissions with the installation of 400,000 heat pumps for existing buildings over the next 10 years.
A heat pump is a renewable energy solution that controls your building climate by distributing the heat that is already available in the air. Heat pumps are an ideal solution to reduce your heating bills as they operate by both heating and cooling your room depending on what is required. In the winter, heat pumps in Ireland transfer heat from the outside environment to provide heat and comfort.
Absorption: the heat must be collected and absorbed by a refrigerant from the ground, air or water source. This takes place in the evaporator changing from liquid to gas in the process.
Compression: The refrigerant is now a gas instead of a liquid. The gas is then compressed to increase its temperature, this is the heat that can be used to warm up your building/home.
Condenser: It gradually cools down and condenses back into a liquid. This occurs in a second heat exchanger.
Repeat: Once the refrigerant has cooled right down, it passes through an expansion valve. The liquid pressure is decreased, and it returns to the evaporator to begin the cycle again.
The support scheme for renewable heat is a government funded scheme that will assist you with the transition to renewable energy sources such as heat pumps. This scheme is open to commercial, industrial, agricultural, public sector, and non domestic heat users. The SSRH scheme is aimed at reducing your overall heating costs by up to 30%.
