Tullow Mushroom Growers, Codd Mushrooms, a leading pioneer in sustainable agriculture, has been granted planning permission with conditions set out by council, to amplify its renewable energy capacities in a strategic partnership with Enerpower. The plan aims to demolish an existing 150kW wind turbine and replace it with a 500kw wind turbine. This upgrade to a more advanced and efficient model, marking a significant leap forward in the company’s commitment to environmental; stewardship and sustainable practices.
The collaboration underscores Tullow Mushroom Growers’ steadfast dedication to minimising its carbon footprint and embracing renewable energy solutions. By upgrading their wind turbine infrastructure, the company is poised to substantially increase its energy efficiency while further solidifying its position as an environmentally conscious industry leader.
Enerpower, a leading renewable energy company, originally erected the 150lw wind turbine in 2009, therefore Tullow Mushrooms chose to trust Enerpower again, to erect the new 500kw wind turbine. The new wind turbine, equipped with cutting edge features and enhanced efficiency, promises to bolster energy production while reducing overall environmental impact, aligning with the company’s Honest Farmer policies.
Enerpower, known for its expertise in delivering sustainable energy solutions across various industries, is excited about this project. Owen Power, managing director of Enerpower, stated
“ We are thrilled to collaborate with Codd Mushrooms once again and help them on their pursuit of renewable energy excellence. We look forward to delivering a state-of-the-art wind turbine that will align with their goals”.
The forthcoming installation of the new wind turbine signifies a progressive leap towards achieving greater energy efficiency and sustainability for Codd Mushrooms. It stands as a testimony to the company’s unwavering dedication to responsible business practices and environmental conservation.
