Wood chip is the cleanest, most abundant and most cost-effective fuel option.
Biomass fuel is completely sustainable, especially a wood chip boiler. The fuel supply can be generated quickly from local agricultural/forestry activity. Wood Chip boilers are the ideal solution for many buildings which require space heating or hot water. Wood Chip Boilers can be installed in shops, schools, hotels, hospitals, nursing homes, offices, food producers, to name a few.
Woodchip boilers can be fed automatically which means less hassle and less mess. Wood harvested from many sources can be chipped to provide fuel for biomass boilers. When using wood chip, consideration must be given to moisture content, wood type, chip size as well as transport, storage and feeding systems.
Woodchip is the cleanest, most abundant and most cost-effective fuel option.
Our Biomass fuel is produced locally where possible. Locally produced biomass fuel is more environmentally friendly because it doesn’t have to be transported over long distances. By using fuels produced within Ireland, we replace the need to import expensive foreign fossil fuels, improving the security of supply and contributing to national and local economy.
The efficiency of the wood is linked closely to the moisture content of the wood when it is burnt in the boiler. Chips are graded G30, G50 and G100. Ash content is 1% for wood chip.
Whenever possible, virgin wood fuel comes from managed forest. Wood residues from saw mills and other wood processing facilities are even kinder to the environment because they are made from a recycled or waste product.
