Commercial Solar Panels installed at McHugh Components facility in Co. Dublin. McHugh Components approached Enerpower in order to help the company reduce their carbon footprint whilst also benefiting from reduced energy cost. McHugh Components decided to make the change to a renewable energy source and Enerpower carried out an energy audit. This energy audit allowed Enerpower to determine the opportunities available and what the most cost effective and efficient method of renewable energy would be for McHugh Components.
McHugh Components are the leading supplier of components to agricultural and associated trades in Ireland. McHugh Components operate a 24hr delivery service for companies around Ireland. McHugh Components are making that step towards a more sustainable company, it is evident that their 24hr operating service will require high amount of electricity.
Enerpower determined that a 45kWp commercial solar system would be most beneficial to meet the needs of McHugh Components as a business. An Enerpower engineer was assigned to this project. The project was designed, managed and installed by Enerpower allowing the team at McHugh Components to enjoy the benefits of the fully managed process. As McHugh Components is a 24hr operating company, we can ensure that the project was carried out with no disruptions to their operations.
A Van Der Valk mounting system was used during this installation along with 139 x325w Solar PV Panels. The energy produced will be supplied directly into McHugh components building. The total energy generated on site will be consumed by their facility resulting in reduced energy costs for the company.
Since installation McHugh Components has generated 11.44MWh of energy, resulting in reduced energy costs for their company. The ESB completed their witness testing on the 29th of July 2021 and this can confirm that this installation complies with all current regulations.
McHugh Components are on their way to achieving their renewable energy targets as they have also implemented motion lighting sensors throughout the facility, saving on the use of unnecessary electricity that is now generated through the rooftop Solar PV.
Enerpower are delighted to have worked on this project and look forward to working with other companies within the industry. If you would like to make the switch to renewable energy for your company, please give us a call on 051 364054
