A renewable energy heating system has been installed by Enerpower for Offaly-based company, Banagher Concrete. The 14kw Heat pump system is now fully operational and providing a low carbon heating system for the facility.
Banagher Concrete believes their economic, legal and philanthropic responsibilities are a true reflection of their integrity. Banagher Concretes environmental policy ‘Thread Softly’ allows the company to make the changes that ensure positive legacies to future generations.
They respect their environment as they actively strive towards reducing their impact on the environment by promoting good environmental practices. The installation is another testament to their commitment to the environment.
An Enerpower engineer fully designed and installed the renewable energy heating system at the Banagher concrete facility. Installed outside, Heat pumps work efficiently as they absorb heat from the surrounding environment and converts to a higher temperature, which is required to heat your building. Heat pumps are environmentally friendly as they simply transfer the heat absorbed rather than burning fossil fuels to create the heat required. The 14kW heat pump will provide up to four times the amount of energy they consume.
Enerpower also installed a 375kW solar rooftop array at Banagher facility. By combining two renewable energy sources, they are protecting their business against future energy price increases while also reducing their carbon emissions. Solar Pv systems and heat pump systems work in conjunction and complement each other, as heat pumps require electricity to function and the solar PV system installed will provide the renewable energy heating system with the electricity required. Banagher Concrete now produces their own electricity but also generates their own form of heat.
Enerpower is delighted to have worked on this project and helped Banagher Concrete fulfil their sustainability goals. During this project, the company was assigned an experienced project manager and engineer who fully managed this project. A witness test was successfully completed by the ESB and this project complies with all regulations and standards.
