Solar PV Panels

Solar pv -a bright future for solar power

Solar PV Panels Ireland will work from both direct sunlight and indirect sunshine.  Solar PV panels work on sunlight rather than heat from the sun. Ireland has the same annual irradiation levels as many parts of Central Europe.

Solar PV or Solar Photovoltaic is the process where solar panels turn sun light into free, green electricity. It is one of the easiest and most beneficial renewable energy technologies to add to any building, commercial or domestic.

The basic component of a PV system is the PV cell, often called a solar cell, see diagram below.

How Solar PV works

Solar PV Panels Ireland works from both direct sunlight and indirect sunshine. There is an opinion that solar technology will not work efficiently in cloudy conditions or in the winter months in Ireland. This however is not true. PV cells work on sunlight rather than heat from the sun. Ireland has the same annual irradiation levels as many parts of Central Europe, ranging from 1200 kWhr/m2/yr in the South of the country to 1000 kWhr/m2/yr in the North of the country, a good average for the entire country is 1100 kWhr/m2/yr.

Benefits of Solar PV

  • Huge electricity savings
  • Free Electricity
  • Cut your carbon emissions, demonstrate your green credentials and lower green taxes
  • Added income by selling excess power back to electricity board
  • High Building Energy Rating (BER)
  • Protecting yourself against inevitable price rise from energy suppliers
  • Guaranteed output for 20 years
  • No Maintenance
  • Payback approx 5 years
  • 15 Year Manufactures Warranty

Here at Enerpower we will provide a free site assessment and technical report for each solar PV installation.
