Another successful ESCO installation by Enerpower. In This project Enerpower installed a new boiler house and district heating pipe network in order to heat a existing nursing home set in the historic Cloughballymore house.
Cloughballymore comprises a medieval Castle (Cloughballymore Castle) and Georgian mansion as well as a walled orchard and Large Grotto. The castle is still intact overlooking the Main Nursing home building. The Main Mansion building was built by Marcus Lynch from Barna, in the 1700’s.
This is a prime example of how biomass can be utilised to heat Country homes and to meet the load profileof Nursing homes and shows how it can be used to provide cost effective heat to a home that may not be allowed to be extensively refurbished due to the constraints of being a listed building.
