A Solar Panel Installation of 250kWp was installed at the National Distribution Centre of BWG foods. The installation is part of BWG’s overall commitment and investment in a major sustainability programme.

The installation at the distribution centre in Kilcarbery, will see the company reduce its overall carbon footprint by more than 93 tonnes of Co2 emissions.  BWG owns and operates a number of leading retail brands with over 1,400 SPAR, EUROSPAR, MACE, Londis and XL stores serving local communities in partnership with independent retailers. BWG also owns and operates leading Irish wholesale brands, BWG Foodservice and Value Centre Cash & Carry.

The 315watt solar panels installed consists of a 60 cell monocyrstalline module and have advanced solar texturing which ensures excellent performance at all times including cloudy days.
