Solar Power System Installed at IDA Building in Waterford.

PROJECT DETAILS

Solar Power System of 50Kwp was recently installed by Enerpower at the newly built Advanced Technology IDA building located at the Business and Technology Park in Butlerstown in Waterford.

The IDA were looking towards renewable energy technology that would provide them with their energy needs as well as future proofing against the rise of energy prices and Enerpower provided a 50kwp Solar PV system to meet their needs.

The new IDA Ireland complex is designed to provide high quality accommodation to FDI clients and was constructed to achieve LEED Silver accreditation.  The LEED accreditation is for leadership in Energy and Environmental Design and is the most widely used green building rating system in the world.   LEED provides a framework to create healthy, highly efficient and cost-saving green buildings.

The solar power system installed by Enerpower consisted of over 150 solar pv panels on to this site.  Using state of the art technology these solar pv panels are extensively tested and have excellent temperature coefficient.    With only the highest quality materials and components used, the solar pv panels installed are perfectly aligned to provide an outstanding performance. Weighing 41.9Ibs, each panel is made of polycrystalline solar cells of 156mm – 156mm square.  The solar pv panels site consist of an anodized aluminium alloy frame ensuring the best optimum performance from the installation.

The benefit of using a solar power system and photovoltaic solar panels is that they provide optimum performance throughout the life of the product. This system will generate up to 50,000KWh of renewable electricity per annum resulting in a saving of 25,000kg of C02 annuallyRequiring low maintenance throughout their life, solar energy does not produce any pollutants and is one of the cleanest sources of energy available to businesses.

Solar Energy is the earths most available source of energy, working from both direct and indirect sunlight, this means that a photovoltaic system will still function on overcast days in Ireland will continue to generate free electricity for your business.

By looking towards a solar power system for your energy requirements, you can reduce your energy costs as well as ensuring increased energy efficiency and promoting a positive green image for your company.

Enerpower can carry out a detailed survey at your property and offer you a bespoke solution that suits your business and circumstances.  If you would like to generate renewable energy for your business and be financially rewarded for doing so, contact Enerpower on 051 364 054.
