The four star Royal Marine Hotel in Dun Laoghaire is an historic and much-loved luxury landmark hotel, dating back to 1828. The Royal Marine Hotel’s unique location is close to Dublin City Centre and Dun Laoghaire ferry port, but also within easy reach of County Wicklow, the garden of Ireland. With 228 Bedrooms, 14 Dedicated Meeting Rooms and a Conference Centre as well as The Pier Health Club and award winning SansanaSPA, the Royal Marine Hotel has it all. The current owner purchased the Hotel in 2004 and closed it for 3 years for extensive renovation work. The Hotel re-opened on 22nd June 2007. Those who have visited the Royal Marine Hotel will agree the refurbishment has added to the splendour of this magnificent ‘listed’ building. It is a stunning vision of ‘old and new’.
To lower the costs of heating this Victorian building, with its high ceiling, wide corridors and large sash windows, the Royal Marine Hotel installed a 450KW Gilles wood chip boiler. Moreover, the installation of the boiler has significantly reduced their carbon footprint.
